Jonathan Keeney  Funeral was held at Harris and
Irving Church of Christ, with Ministers J. Crenshaw,
A. Knight and R.H. Stanley, he was burried at
Fairmount Cemetary on March 9, 1946

Mary Ann Keele Keeney Funeral was held at
Fairgrounds Church of Christ with Minister Marshall
Davis and O.T. Denman, on February 22, 1952 She
was burried along side of her husband at Fairmount
Cemetary. On her funderal record it states Mary Ann
had 15 Grandchildren and 18 Great Grandchildren.

Jonathan Keeney was
the youngest of eight
children. He was a
small child when his
family moved from   
Missouri to Texas.
After Jonathan married
Mary Ann, they moved
to Eldorado, Texas in
1901, and farmed.
The family moved  
again to Menard,
Texas in 1918, and   
farmed for 22 years
then the couple moved
to Christoval , Texas.
And after they retired
they moved to San  
Angelo, Texas
sometime after 1937.

child to Milton Keele
and Mary Ann
Baccus.The date the
Keele family moved
to Texas is unknown
However the family
is found in Bell
county Texas on the
1880 Census. The
Census also shows
that all of the
children were born
in Tennessee, the
oldest of the
children is Malenda
Keele Pickett, age
24. And Mary Ann
is age 19, and the
youngest child is
Jefferson R. Keele
age 9, using this
information, we think
the family move to
Texas after 1871.
